Rental package includes :
Flat roofed coop
2 hens
Enough grain/seed and hay/bedding for rental period
General care and feeding instructions
For those that fall in love at the end of your months rental; and you will......
.....20% of your rental charge
can be placed towards the cost of buying your own coop,
OR
2 young hens can be provided free of charge with the purchase of a coop.
( provided we have stock available at that time )
Rental Charges

Rental requirements include:
* The signing of a rental agreement guaranteeing maximum care of, and acknowledging
renters liability for, any damages to chooks and coop.
* A bond to be paid at the time of delivery, fully refundable, upon
pickup/return of the coop and the chooks, in their pre-delivery condition.
Delivery is from Coburg in Melbourne's north. Your delivery fee on a rental package includes delivery of all of your equipment, chooks and food, setting
up and picking everything up again, when your lease ends.
(Please bear in mind that delivery on rentals is for two visits, because we come twice, to set up and pick up!!)
To Buy
Our coops have been designed and built especially
for us by a very talented local craftsman. Designed for bantam fowl, with
ease of cleaning and mobility foremost in our minds, they are perfect
for bringing a little of the country into suburbia.
They are sold assembled and are not 'flat packed' as others on the market are. Our coops are extremely solid and built to last a very long time.
Two different styles are available, a pitched roof or a
flat roof, in two different price ranges, depending on your budget and
space constraints. (The flat roof coop requires less space, as it can be placed against a
wall)
The coops will fit 2 to 4 bantam fowl, depending on whether or not they
are ‘free ranging’.
*note – As the nesting boxes and perch can be easily
removed the coops are also suitable for housing ‘furry friends’ such as rabbits and guinea pigs!
We don't believe it is necessary, to spend allot of money, and forego space in your yard, on a large ' walk in ' coop, when we encourage you to let your chooks free range .................We've placed more than 70 of our coops in childcare centers and suburban back yards in our first 25mths of trading.

Chook Sales
Chook sales are limited to seasonal availability and we encourage the purchase
of young
birds to establish familiarity and trust. Colors are subject to stock available.
We breed, sell and recommend Pekin Bantams.
We do prioritize 'package sales' ( the whole coop and caboodle - coop, chooks, feeder,bedding, food, etc...), and as such there may be a wait list for 'just' chook sales.
Other varieties may be available from time to time, such as Old English Game Hens, Frizzles and Indian Game.
We can also help with sourcing special breeds if required.

Please note - Fertile eggs may be available from time to time during the breeding season. Eggs are generally charged at $2.50 per egg + $15 for express postage. Please note though, that we are reluctant to send eggs interstate, as air travel can severely affect the fertility of an egg.
Hens purchased at 8 weeks or more are 'guaranteed hens'.
If your 'hen' starts 'crowing' you're welcome to bring it
back and we will replace it with one that doesn't,
